Research Collaborations with the USA

Thursday, 2025/05/01, 18:15

Since January 2025, Donald Trump's return to the presidency has already had far-reaching consequences for the science and research sectors, which reach beyond US borders. In the first few months of his presidency, we have already seen significant changes in US research policy, including budget cuts and a realignment of research priorities.

These changes directly and indirectly affect researchers in Switzerland and at the University of Bern. Given these developments, the University of Bern would like to host an event informing staff and researchers about US research policy. At the event, we will discuss the current situation with affected researchers as well as research funding and policy officials, and explore how the University of Bern and the Swiss research community might respond.
